Siquijor Tourist Map: Island Map with Beaches, Waterfalls, Churches & Scooter Routes

โฑ Map & routes verified: August 2026 by the SiquiRide team ยท Locally annotated from on-island scooter work

Explore Siquijor by municipality, discover beaches, waterfalls, churches and other places worth stopping for โ€” then see how they connect into practical scooter routes. This is SiquiRide's orientation layer: where everything is, how the areas connect and which route to ride.

๐ŸŸข Verified โ€” location confirmed from on-island SiquiRide verification or reliable sources.ย  ๐ŸŸก Approximate โ€” the place is real but the exact pin/trailhead is uncertain; follow local signs.ย  โœ๏ธ SiquiRide pick โ€” our editorial recommendation, not an official landmark.ย  ๐Ÿ‘ฅ Community tip โ€” traveler-sourced; verify before you go.

Siquijor at a Glance โ€” The Six Municipalities

Siquijor has no single big center. Life runs along a coastal loop and each town plays a different role:

Municipality Role on the island Known for
Siquijor (capital) Arrivals, administration, services Siquijor Port, St. Francis Church & Bell Tower, Capilay Spring
San Juan Main beach-stay corridor Paliton Beach sunset, Tubod Marine Sanctuary, resorts & cafรฉs
Lazi Heritage + waterfalls cluster Cambugahay Falls, Lazi Church & Convent, Old Balete Tree
Maria Quieter eastern beaches Salagdoong Beach cliff jump, Secret Beach, Kagusuan
Enrique Villanueva North coast, marine life Tulapos Marine Sanctuary, quiet coastal roads
Larena Working port gateway Larena Port (overnight RoRo), Triad Cafรฉ viewpoint

Most first-time visitors stay in San Juan and ride the loop from there. Arriving ferries dock at either Siquijor Town Port (fast craft) or Larena Port (overnight RoRo) โ€” see the ports section for what to do next and the getting around Siquijor guide for transport options.

Tourist Spots on the Map, by Municipality

Every spot below links to its real map listing and to a detailed SiquiRide guide where one exists. Entrance fees are approximate, cash-only and verified as of August 2026 โ€” confirm locally. Browse the full list with fees in the Siquijor tourist spots guide.

๐Ÿ›ต Scooter Routes โ€” How the Island Connects

This is where a map becomes a plan. SiquiRide runs scooters on these roads; the route notes below come from that on-island riding. Distances are deliberately described in riding time and character rather than exact kilometers โ€” we don't publish figures we haven't measured. For self-guided route sheets and turn-by-turn planning, see SiquiRide scooter routes and the Maps & Routes collection.

1. Coastal Loop โ€” the classic full-island circuit

Start / finish San Juan (most common) or Siquijor Town โ€” a full circuit back to base
Riding time A full day including stops (roughly 7:00 AMโ€“6:30 PM per our Island Loop Guide)
Major stops Old Balete Tree โ†’ Lazi Church & Convent โ†’ Cambugahay Falls โ†’ Salagdoong Beach โ†’ east-coast road โ†’ west-coast sunset
Road character Paved circumferential coastal road โ€” generally smooth and scenic. The Cambugahay access spur is narrow/steep.
Beginner-friendly? ๐ŸŸข Yes on the coast; take the waterfall spurs slowly
Fuel Fill up before heading south โ€” stations are concentrated around Siquijor Town. See the Siquijor fuel stations guide.
No-signal sections Signal can drop on forested/inland stretches; download your map before you leave
Cautions Roads are slippery after rain; avoid riding the loop after dark on an unfamiliar bike

๐Ÿ’ก Riding order: hit Cambugahay early (before ~9 AM) to beat the tour vans, then continue east to Salagdoong and let the west-coast sunset bring you home. See the full Island Loop Guide with timing โ†’

2. Inland / Mountain Route โ€” Mount Bandilaan

Start / finish San Juan or Siquijor Town โ†’ Bandilaan interior โ†’ return
Riding time Half-day (roughly 2โ€“4 hours depending on stops)
Major stops Mount Bandilaan forest roads, Cantabon Cave, Lugnason Falls vicinity
Road character Narrower, steeper inland roads with rough and shaded sections; fog possible on the climb
Beginner-friendly? ๐Ÿ”ด Confident riders only โ€” not a first-day route
Fuel Fill up first โ€” there are no fuel stations in the mountain interior
No-signal sections Expect signal to drop on the forest roads; offline navigation is strongly recommended
Cautions Loose gravel on access tracks, slippery shaded sections after rain, limited facilities โ€” carry water

New to two wheels on Siquijor? Read whether beginners can ride a scooter in Siquijor before tackling the mountain route and stick to the Coastal Loop on your first day.

3. Sunset Chase โ€” west coast, short & easy

Start / finish Anywhere along the San Juan coastal strip
Riding time 1โ€“2 hours, around 5:00โ€“6:00 PM
Major stops Tubod / Maite coast โ†’ beach pull-offs โ†’ Paliton Beach for sunset
Road character Paved coastal road โ€” the easiest ride on the island
Beginner-friendly? ๐ŸŸข Yes โ€” ideal first evening ride
Cautions Waves are stronger on the west coast during habagat (Mayโ€“October); swim with care, there are no lifeguards

โ›ด๏ธ Ports & Arrival โ€” "I Just Got Here. Where Do I Go Next?"

Ferries arrive at one of two ports. Confirm yours when booking โ€” it changes your onward ride. Full details in the Siquijor port guide.

Port Typically serves Onward to San Juan Next step
Siquijor Town Port (capital) OceanJet fast craft from Cebu & Dumaguete; Montenegro/Aleson from Dumaguete ~20โ€“25 min by scooter / short tricycle Pick up your scooter or take a tricycle to your San Juan accommodation
Larena Port (north coast) Overnight Lite Shipping / Starlite RoRo from Cebu ~30โ€“45 min by tricycle (โ‚ฑ150โ€“โ‚ฑ300) Tell your accommodation and scooter rental you're arriving at Larena

โš ๏ธ Arriving at Larena? Budget an extra 30โ€“45 minutes and a tricycle or habal-habal fare to reach San Juan or Siquijor Town. SiquiRide offers port pickup/delivery โ€” arrange it before you board.

Once you're on the island, the interactive map at the top shows how the ports connect to San Juan and the rest of the loop.

Practical Layers โ€” Fuel, Cash, Signal & Safety

We keep this light on purpose. A correct general rule is more useful than an unverified pin โ€” especially for safety.

Layer What to know
โ›ฝ Fuel Stations are concentrated around Siquijor Town. Fill up before heading south or inland โ€” there are none in the mountain interior. See the Siquijor fuel stations guide.
๐Ÿ’ต Cash / ATMs ATMs on the island are limited and can run dry during peak season. Withdraw PHP in Dumaguete or Cebu before crossing โ€” most entrance fees and small shops are cash-only.
๐Ÿ“ฑ Mobile signal Good in town centers; patchy to absent on inland and forest roads. Buy a local SIM (Globe/Smart) before crossing and download an offline map. An eSIM option is listed in the travel essentials guide.
๐Ÿฅ Emergencies The map's Police Stations, Hospital and Pharmacy layers pin the provincial hospital in Caipilan, municipal police stations, rural health units and Mercury Drug/Watsons/E & R pharmacies. For phone numbers and what to do in an incident, save SiquiRide's Siquijor emergency contacts guide before you ride.

How This Map Was Made

SiquiRide operates scooter rentals and does on-island travel work in Siquijor. This map is built from that local knowledge rather than copied from another site.

  • Base geography comes from OpenStreetMap (in the designed versions from licensed mapping sources). SiquiRide adds the travel annotations โ€” what's worth stopping for, how to ride between spots and what the roads are actually like.
  • Verified locations (๐ŸŸข) are confirmed from on-island SiquiRide verification or reliable public sources. Approximate markers (๐ŸŸก) appear on the map but their final approach, hours or current access still need confirmation โ€” follow local signs.
  • SiquiRide picks (โœ๏ธ) are editorial recommendations, not official landmarks. Community tips (๐Ÿ‘ฅ) are traveler-sourced and labeled as such.
  • Fees, schedules, road conditions and access change โ€” with the seasons, after rain and as local rules update. Treat every figure as approximate and confirm locally.

Found something wrong or a spot we missed? SiquiRide verifies corrections from travelers. Tell us: hello@siquiride.store โ€” include the spot name, what needs fixing and a photo if you can. Community-verified spots are added with the ๐Ÿ‘ฅ label.

Siquijor Map โ€” Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a free Siquijor tourist map?

Yes. The interactive map on this page is free to use and you can print it or save it as a PDF with the button at the top. There is no paywall on basic orientation. The paid DIY travel guide adds step-by-step directions, offline setup and local route planning for no-signal roads but the map itself stays free.

Can I download the Siquijor map as a PDF?

Use the "Print / Save as PDF" button at the top of this page and choose "Save as PDF" in your browser's print dialog. It's formatted for A4/Letter. For turn-by-turn offline navigation with GPS tracks and fuel stations, see the offline map & navigation guide.

What are the main areas of Siquijor?

Six municipalities: Siquijor (capital/port), San Juan (beaches and where most visitors stay), Lazi (waterfalls and heritage), Maria (quiet eastern beaches), Enrique Villanueva (north coast and marine sanctuaries) and Larena (the northern RoRo port). See the at-a-glance table above.

Where are the best tourist spots on the map?

Don't-miss first-timer stops are Cambugahay Falls, Lazi Church & Convent, the Old Balete Tree, Paliton Beach and Salagdoong Beach. The full list with fees is in our tourist spots guide.

Which Siquijor port should I arrive at?

Fast craft from Dumaguete and Cebu arrive at Siquijor Town Port, closest to San Juan (~20โ€“25 min). Overnight RoRo from Cebu arrives at Larena Port in the north (~30โ€“45 min to San Juan). You don't choose the port โ€” your ferry does โ€” so confirm when booking and tell your scooter rental/accommodation which one. Details in the port guide.

Can I explore Siquijor by scooter?

Yes โ€” it's the most practical way. The coastal loop is paved and beginner-friendly; the mountain route through Bandilaan is for confident riders. See scooter rental in Siquijor for rates, requirements and free port delivery and the beginner guidance if it's your first time.

Which route is easiest for first-time riders?

Start with the Sunset Chase along the San Juan coast on your first evening, then the Coastal Loop on a full day. Leave the inland mountain route for later โ€” it's narrower, steeper and can be foggy and slippery.

Is there mobile signal everywhere on Siquijor?

No. Signal is good in town centers but drops on inland and forest roads โ€” including parts of the Bandilaan route. Download your map before riding inland and consider the offline map & navigation guide if you plan to explore the mountain roads.

Do I need an offline map?

For a straightforward coastal loop, the free map on this page plus a downloaded Google/OSM map is usually enough. For the mountain route, hidden beaches and no-signal barangay roads, the custom GPS map with directions and fuel stations in the paid DIY travel guide is worth having.

How long does it take to drive around Siquijor?

A full circuit with stops is a full day โ€” roughly 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM with the major sights. The riding itself is manageable; it's the swimming, eating and photo stops that fill the day. See the Island Loop Guide for a timed sequence.

Can I use this map without internet?

The embedded map needs a data connection. For offline use, print/save this page as a PDF, download an offline map in your mapping app or use the custom GPS map included with the paid DIY travel guide, which is built for no-signal navigation.

Ready to Ride the Loop?

You've seen the map. Now make it real โ€” reserve a scooter for port pickup, grab the offline map and build your 3-day plan.
