Your Journey
Cebu to Siquijor — the two routes and how they differ.

✈️Option 1 — Fly nonstop
- Cebu → Siquijor direct — about 50–55 minutes, operating on selected days rather than daily.
- By far the fastest option. It turns the journey into a morning rather than a full travel day.
- Seats on small aircraft are limited, so book early and confirm the day of week your dates allow.
- Schedules and days of operation have changed since the route launched — verify directly with the airline.
⛴Option 2 — The fast craft
- OceanJet from Cebu Pier 1 — roughly 4–4.5 hours total, with a stop in Tagbilaran, Bohol.
- Typical departures are early morning and early afternoon. The morning sailing lands you with the day still ahead.
- Fares run about ₱1,200–₱2,400 depending on class.
- The fast craft docks at Siquijor Town Port, not Larena.
⏱Timing that works
- Allow 2–3 hours between landing at Cebu and a ferry departure. The airport to Pier 1 transfer takes 30–60 minutes.
- Check in 30–40 minutes before the sailing. Operators enforce cutoffs.
- A cheap flight is no use if it misses the last boat — check flight and ferry timing together.
- Operators occasionally adjust or cancel sailings. Confirm the day before you travel.
🎒What to prepare
- Withdraw cash in Cebu. Siquijor ATMs can run dry in peak season.
- Book ahead for Holy Week, summer and Christmas. This is the main link from Cebu and seats go fast.
- Bring a valid licence covering motorcycles plus an IDP if your licence is foreign.
- Terminal fees and some tickets are cash only.
⚠️ Worth knowing before you ride
- Consider breaking the sea journey in Bohol for a few days — the ferry already stops in Tagbilaran.
- Confirm your arrival port when booking. The fast craft reaches Siquijor Town but some other services use Larena.
- Mountain interiors and waterfall tracks are for confident riders only. Everything is slippery after rain.
- Fuel up in Larena, Lazi or San Juan before heading to remote corners.
SiquiRide's take
Cebu is the gateway you pick for the flight, not for the crossing. If you are arriving internationally it is almost always the cheapest and easiest way into the Visayas. Once you land you have a real choice to make. The nonstop flight to Siquijor is the fastest route to the island from anywhere. The ferry is four hours or more and only makes sense if you want to see Bohol on the way. If neither appeals and Siquijor is your only destination, fly to Dumaguete instead.
