Paliton Beach at sunset β San Juan, Siquijor
Paliton Beach in San Juan is widely considered one of the most scenic beaches in Siquijor β a long stretch of white sand with calm, clear water and a relaxed atmosphere. It's a must-visit for any first-time visitor to the island.
How to Get There
From Siquijor Port, head west along the coastal road toward San Juan. Paliton Beach is approximately 25 minutes by scooter. Look for the signs near San Juan town proper.
Best Time to Visit
Early morning (before 9AM) for calm water and fewer crowds. Avoid visiting during strong winds (NovemberβJanuary) as the waves can be rough.
Habagat Season Warning (June β October)
During the Habagat (Southwest Monsoon), beaches along the San Juan and Lazi side of Siquijor are significantly affected. ExpectΒ messy shorelines, large waves and strong winds during this period. Swimming can be unsafe and the beach experience is very different from the calm, clear conditions you see in photos.
If you're visiting between June and October, check conditions before heading out. The eastern side of the island tends to be calmer during Habagat season.
What to Bring
